Clinical activity: Special fields of interest are: Major Joint Replacements (including hip, knee and shoulder), Shoulder and Elbow Surgery, Sport Surgery, Arthroscopic surgery, Allogenic Bone and tissue grafting.

Performed more than 10000 procedures within the last twelve years, including more than 2000 major joint replacement and more than 4000 knee and shoulder arthroscopies including arthroscopic ACL reconstruction, meniscectomies, subacromial decompressions, repairs of cuff and labrum, microfracture, synovectomy etc.

Teaching responsibilities

Since 1992 Mr Balint has been involved in the undergraduate and postgraduate education of medical students both in English and Hungarian, providing formal lectures, seminars, and bedside teachings at the Department of Orthopaedics, University of Pécs, Medical School, Hungary. Based on the student’s feedback, I have earned the “Best lecturer of the year” title in the year of 2003/2004 in my department. I have been tutoring Hungarian students since 1994 and English speaking students since 1995 for graduation.

He was mentor for numerous medical students for the dissertation submitted for the diploma both in Hungarian and in English.

He has been participating as an instructor in postgraduate CME courses in Orthopaedic Surgery and Shoulder Surgery.

Elsősorban nagyízületi protetikával (csípő, térd, váll) foglalkozom, különös tekintettel a fiatal és aktív betegcsoportnak legelőnyösebb csípő ízületi felszínképző protézis beültetésekre és az  „egyénre szabott” teljes illetve részleges térdprotézisek különleges fajtáira.

Ezen túl nagy számban végzek sportsebészeti műtéteket, artroszkópos térd-, váll-, bokaműtéteket, valamint minimiál invazív láb- és kézműtéteket.
